Chinese Tamale Mold (Joong)
Galvanized metal, 4 1/4" sq. x 4" h, inside depth 2 1/2". Makes joong, bamboo-leaf wrapped sweet rice with bits of cooked pork, preserved egg yolk and other savory morsels, easier to assemble in the traditional leaf cone; otherwise seems as if four hands are required to assemble: one to hold the leaves, one to add the filling and fold the leaves, and then two to tie the conical shape with string.
